On Thursday, March 5, 2026, following their restoration by the Friends of the Church Fund, the First World War Victory Monument and the 15th-century spandrels of the transept were inaugurated.

A series of brief presentations were given before numerous generous donors and in the presence of Mayor Philippe Close.
The stained-glass windows celebrating the First World War victory in the Church of Our Lady of Victories – Mr. Daniel van Steenberghe

Restoration and conservation of the mural paintings with coats of arms under the large stained-glass window of the Victory – Ms. Charlotte Ieven and collaborators

The restoration of the gilding and polychromy of the 80 spandrels of the 15th-century transept – Mesdames Virginie Bolle and Églantine Tercelin de Joigny

The Mayor thanked the generous donators of the “Friends of Notre-Dame au Sablon Church Fund” who help to preserve the heritage of an emblematic monument of the city. He enthusiastically recalled the project to redevelop the Grand Sablon square and the gardens surrounding the church.
