BOOK OF THE BROTHERHOOD OF SAINT AUBERT He is credited with founding the Abbey of Saint Vaast in Arras.
He is usually depicted with a donkey laden with two baskets full of bread, which may explain why he became the patron saint of bakers.
On the front page, he is seen helping the poor by distributing bread.
The right-hand page describes the founding of the brotherhood in 1702 in the Church of Our Lady of Victories “in Ecclesia Beatae Virginis Mariae de Victoria in Sabulone.”
