BOOK OF THE BROTHERHOOD OFSAINT AUBERT
BOOK OF THE BROTHERHOOD OF SAINT AUBERT Saint Aubert, bishop of Cambrai in the 7th century, is credited with founding the abbey of Saint Vaast in Arras.
He is usually depicted with a donkey loaded with two baskets full of bread, which may explain why he became the patron saint of bakers.
On the title page, he is seen relieving the poor by distributing bread.
The right-hand page states that the brotherhood was founded in 1702 in the church of Our Lady of Victories “in Ecclesia Beatae Virginis Mariae de Victoria in Sabulone”.
