Choir organ

In 2011, a second organ was inaugurated in the nave. A choir organ is not necessarily located in the choir as according to the French liturgical tradition, the choir sings alternately with the large organs. He origin of the choir organ is that due to the length of the naves of cathedrals, it was easier for the choir to be accompanied by an instrument that was positioned closer to them. It was Rudi Jacques, a famous organ builder from the Dinant region who built this one, drawing inspiration from Germanic instruments dating from the first half of the 17th century. The uprights are inlaid with elm burl patterns. It has two thirds and eight perfect fifths, which allows it to be played in all keys. This organ accompanies the three Sunday masses and is also played during concerts.
